One of my side hobbies is making small investments in movies. If you dont have anything to do on July 4th (2023), go see “Sound of Freedom”!
As a (very small) investor in Angel Studio projects, I had the privilege to see a couple of pre-release scenes of this movie and decided to support it. I have also ‘paid it forward’ by donating money for tickets for others to see it. The topic – child trafficking – is incredibly important.
Sound of Freedom, based on the incredible true story, shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.

If you are in the Fort Worth area, it is playing all over the place. If you live in other areas, check the Angel Studios website for a local theater.
You can get free tickets on the website, but if you are able, consider not just buying your ticket but paying it forward for someone else to go see this movie.
